Kreuzberg Suite by Andre Vida

For more than two years Andre Vida has performed 'Every Tuesday night for the rest of
your life' at Wendel, a creative hub in the heart of Kreuzberg, Berlin. As saxophonic
master of ceremonies, collaborative conduit and stream of consciousness poet he has
marshaled and inspired musicians from every corner of the stylistic stratosphere.

Noise artists, laptoppers, guitar heroes, poets, dancers, jazz musicians, anti-jazz
musicians and the odd funk superstar have entertained, enlightened and challenged
connoisseurs and unsuspecting locals alike.

The KREUZBERG SUITE is the distilled culmination of a hundred nights of mayhem
into an hour of swinging lyricism.

Featuring master pop / folk accordionist Elizabeth King, percussionist, improviser,
electronic musician and sound artist Steve Heather and free improvising energy bucket
Clayton Thomas on double bass, this expatriate quartet has created a stylistically
omnivorous and melodically ravishing album that encapsulates the energy and excitement of these Kreuzberg nights.
